STUDENT WELFARE AND DISCIPLINE DEPARTMENT

The Student Welfare and Discipline Division is responsible for managing student welfare and student discipline in accordance with the rules and student discipline methods of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan.

WELFARE

UMK student welfare includes the following:

• Manage scholarship/sponsorship and loan applications such as PTPTN/JPA/State Foundation.
• Manage Student Treatment Payment Dependency Guarantee Letter at Government Hospital/University Hospital (Guarantee Letter) as well as payment of hospital bills and student treatment charge claims.
• Managing the appointment of the Working Student Scheme.
• Manage Short Term Loan Applications.
• Provide Student Sponsorship Verification Letter.
• Manage Student Financial Aid including living allowance and fee claims for Students with Disabilities (OKU).
• Managing group insurance contributions and claims for Pre-Graduate students.
• Managing the Death and Accident Charity Scheme of Students/ Mothers/ Fathers/ Husbands/ Wives/ Children.
• Managing Special Assistance for Students Following Industrial Training (BKPLI).
• Managing UMK Student Food Bank Aid in collaboration with external agencies.

STUDENT DISCIPLINE

• Manage the appointment process of the Student Disciplinary Committee and the Student Disciplinary Appeals Committee.
• Examine the disciplinary case report received and ensure that the report is complete.
• Manage the prosecution process of student disciplinary cases.
• Manage student disciplinary proceedings (Academic and Non-Academic) in accordance with the University and University College Act 1971 as well as the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (Student Discipline) Rules 2009.
• Manage the student disciplinary process.
• Manage the student disciplinary appeal process
